Silent Witness

Silent Witness You're the one he asks for You're the one he needs. I beg he forgets you, Whom he longs for, Because he's my only greed. I built him temples, And watched as he worshiped you instead. I built worlds for my creed, But you were the deity all along. I will ask you to leave, And watch it all unravel. I wanted him to abandon the temples, But I watched his body rot by your feet. So I ask you not to leave, For you are his creed. I will watch from the sidelines, For my heart will bleed Every time you pass me by. -Riya

Like Every Other Heart

I have seen what affection looks like and he bears none for me.  Perhaps he plates it differently than the rest?  A wishful thinking that has my hungry heart scavenging for what is not there.  We were friends first Then I fell And he? He fell too But for another heart. He has done no wrong, committed no crime yet my heart looks for reasons to hate. And when it finds none it does what every heart has done, It breaks. ~Riya

TWO WORLDS

(image source: google) So many small worlds within one world everybody lives in their own world. Broken family, treacherous friends that's the world she lived in. Faking smiles, finding hope trying to love with all she got. People whispering, "why is she so cold?" little do they know, her world enervating her poor soul. She tries to find someone, who will stick by her side till the end a lover or a friend. Then she met a girl, so forthcoming and guileless. Her world is what she desires, her friendship is what she seeks. A friend, a soulmate is what she is to her, she gave her a heart to rely on, a shoulder to cry on. Making her bleak world  a better place to live, She found comfort  in her mellow world. ~Priya

Human Nest

(image source: google)   Is   this   world   pretty or  is  it a chaotic mess? From above I am  sure  it  looks  like, a Human Nest. Concrete so conspicuous, among these  green  fields, sometimes make me  ponder, is  this the  world  that we  wished ? Where did it all go wrong? Did we  build  a  wrong  society? Where the air is thick  with calumny and  the forlorn hope of humanity.  Our  desires  are  insidious, slowly   killing  what is  left, in this H uman N est . ~Priya

Worse Than Betrayal

Together forever, that’ s  what we  said. How naïve  was  I to  think  you will  stay , keep your word just because I was  keeping  mine. My  dear , it is  not  a tragic story of  love but of a broken friendship. Losing  a  lover  sure is tough but  have  you  ever   lost  a  friend ? A  friend  through the  highs  and  lows , now all that remains are unfulfilled vows. Promises  we   said   we  would never break I  saw  them go down in flames. Their charred ashes a bitter reminder  of the  time  I held you  dear. People   change , yes they  do but never thought it would  be  you. Memories run through my  mind of those gleeful times And I cannot  decide, do they  bring  me  comfort ? Or merely add to  my   pain ? You ...
